Working recently on websites for my clients I’ve needed to manipulate data in LibreOffice Calc files. One of tasks was to split words separated with commas in a cell and transform them into columns.
I’ve found a LibreOffice feature I didn’t even know that exists.
Here is the simplest method to split words into columns in LibreOffice:
1) Click the cell that contains words for splitting
2) Go to Data > Text to columns…
Preview of the selections will be displayed in the lower part of the screen.
3) Select parameters and click OK
4) Your column’s words will be splited into several columns. That’s easy!
